IHF governed Handball is gaining popularity among continents and here it is with another championship. Yes, it’s the 2024 World Men’s Handball Championship. The 2024 IHF World Men’s Handball Championship will be the 27th event hosted by the International Handball Federation to be held in Egypt from 13 to 31 January 2024.
It will be the first Handball Championship with 32 teams instead of 24. This will be the third championship hosted in Africa, the second in Egypt, and the first to be hosted outside of Europe since 2015. Denmark is the defending champions.
Format
The 32 Teams in the World Men’s Handball Championship 2024 will be divided into 8 groups and the top 3 teams from each group will qualify for further rounds. Then the remaining 24 teams will be divided into 4 groups of 6 teams each and the top 2 teams from each group will qualify for the quarterfinals.
