Paris Saint Germain and Neymar Jr. reached an agreement to extend the contract. Neymar, who joined the French giants in 2017, had a contract in the French capital till 2024. Many rumours and speculations regarding Neymar’s future with the club emerged as reports claiming a possible return back to FC Barcelona resurfaced.
Neymar settled the rumours once and for all by committing his future with PSG. The deal took place in May 2024 and ended all the speculations surrounding the Brazilian superstar’s commitment. Neymar has signed a long term deal that will commit him to Paris for three more years.
Neymar Jr Contract Extension with PSG 2024
Neymar Jr’s pre existing contract with PSG when he joined the French side in 2017 was till 2024. A three year extension deal means that the 29 year old will stay at the club till 2025. Neymar’s commitment with PSG will boost the club’s confidence. The forward was one of the team’s key players that won three back to back Ligue 1 titles and two domestic trebles.
As per the new contract of Neymar Jr with PSG, the Brazilian will earn an annual salary of €30 million per season. Neymar’s long term commitment to PSG boosts the club’s hopes for European glory.
