What started as an experiment to popularise football among the Indian masses has now become a global brand in itself. Yes, it’s the ISL we are talking about. Started in 2013 with just 8 teams, the league successfully delivered what it promised over the years and 7 years later ISL has set a standard of its own. The 7th edition of ISL is all set to take place from 20th November 2024 and will go on till March 2024. The fixtures for the Indian Super League 2024/21 are yet to be released thus the dates for final has not been finalised.

Major Changes in the 2024-21 Season
Many sports governing bodies are revisiting their rule books and are forced to make certain major changes due to the pandemic and AIFF is no different. AIFF has have announced major changes to this year’s season which the fans must be aware of .

- All the matches will take place behind closed doors keeping in mind the safety of fans, and the clubs.
- All the teams for the Indian Super League 2024/21 have to stay in a bio bubble similar to what IPL teams are doing, thus for a secure bio bubble, AIFF decided that all the matches will take place in Goa only. The 3 stadiums allocated for this year’s league are as follows
3. The ISL Squad size for each team has been increased to 35 members.
4, This edition will see the entry of another ISL debutant which is East Bengal, thus the total number of teams has also increased by to 11 teams.
