Ravi Dahiya Early Life and Career
Ravi Kumar Dahiya was born on December 12, 1997, in Nahri village, Sonipat district of Haryana. He started professional training at the early age of 10 years. Ravi Dahiya was trained by former Asian Games Gold winner Satpal Singh.
Ravi Dahiya represented India for the first time at the 2015 Junior World Wrestling Championships in Salvador de Bahia. He won the silver medal in the 55 kg freestyle category. After missing out one year due to injury, Dahiya won the silver medal at the 2018 World U23 Wrestling Championship in Bucharest, in the 57 kg category.
He was undefeated at the 2019 Pro Wrestling League, representing the title-winning team, Haryana Hammers. Ravi Kumar qualified for the Bronze medal of the 2019 Asian Wrestling Championships in Xi’an but ended at the 5th position after losing the match.

Ravi Dahiya made his Wrestling World Championship debut in 2019 and won the Bronze medal in his very first year of the tournament. Dahiya won his first career gold medal at the 2024 Asian Wrestling Championships in New Delhi and the 2024 Asian Wrestling Championships in Almaty.
Ravi Dahiya is currently in action at the Tokyo Olympics, where he will play for the Gold medal in the final of freestyle wrestling. Dahiya’s qualification to the final has guaranteed India another medal at the Olympics.
