The biggest collective sporting event in the world, the Olympics 2024, is all set to be held in Tokyo from 23 July. Basketball is one of the 33 sports which will feature in the 2024 Tokyo Summer Olympics. Tokyo Olympics 2024 Basketball schedule and match dates are out for the fans. Tokyo Olympics 2024 Basketball Schedule
Basketball at Tokyo Olympics 2024 is set to be held from 24 July to 8 August 2024.
The men’s tournament will begin on 25 July and end on 7 August. The quarter-finals will be held on August 3, Semifinals on August 5. The men’s Final Gold medal and Bronze medal match will be held on August 7.
The women’s tournament will begin on 26 July and end on 8 August. The quarter-finals are scheduled for August 4, Semi-Finals on August 6. The women’s Bronze medal match will be held on August 7. The final of Women’s Olympic Basketball will be played on 8 August 2024.
Venue
Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, will host all the matches of 2024 Olympics Basketball.
Olympics 2024 Basketball Teams
Tokyo Olympics Basketball tournament will feature 12 teams for both Men’s and Women’s competitions. Japan has qualified because of its Host Nation status.

Format
Twelve teams will be categorized into three groups of 4 teams each. The first two teams from each group will progress to the quarter-finals. Two best 3rd placed teams will also qualify for quarter-finals.
